TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA - Perhimpunan Hotel dan Restoran Indonesia (PHRI) memprediksi, tahun depan akan ada penambahan banyak hotel baru. Hal tersebut disampaikan oleh Wuryanti Sukamdani, Ketua PHRI saat jumpa pers di gedung SaPTA Pesona, Jakarta, Senin (3/12).
"Kebanyakan hotel bintang tiga dan hotel lima, ada di Jakarta dan Bali. Tahun depan juga banyak demand (permintaan) di hotel bujet. Penambahan hotel baru tidak hanya provinsi, tapi sampai ke pulau kecil, terutama hotel bujet," jelas Wuryanti.


Menurut Wuryanti, sepanjang 2012, terdata sekitar 15.300 hotel dengan total jumlah kamar berkisar 240.000. Sementara itu, Menteri Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif Mari Elka Pangestu menuturkan, November ini, menjadi bulan terbaik sepanjang tahun bagi hotel-hotel di Jakarta.
"Banyak meeting (pertemuan atau rapat) yang dikejar sebelum akhir tahun," ungkap Mari dalam kesempatan yang sama. Data BPS dan Pusdatin Kemenparekraf menyebutkan, rata-rata tingkat penghunian kamar (TPK) hotel berbintang di 20 provinsi di Indonesia pada Oktober 2012 sebesar 54,90% atau naik 0,03 poin dibandingkan bulan Oktober 2011 sebesar  54,87%.

Berdasarkan provinsi, kenaikan TPK tertinggi terjadi di Lampung sebesar 14,01 poin, Kalimantan Barat 7,76 poin dan Kalimantan Timur  6,33 poin. Sementara itu secara kumulatif, rata-rata TPK hotel bintang dari 20 provinsi  pada Januari hingga Oktober 2012 sebesar 52,57% atau naik 0,05 poin dibandingkan Januari - Oktober 2011 sebesar 52,53%. 

Berdasarkan provinsi, kenaikan TPK tertinggi terjadi di Kalimantan Barat sebesar 9,46 poin, Jawa Tengah sebesar 7,50 poin dan DI Yogyakarta sebesar 4,22 poin.

 Statistic Highlights


  • By the end of October 2012 Foreign visitor had reached 688,3 thousand, an increase of 4,93% compared to same month in 2011 which reached 656,0 thousand visitor. A slight increase by 0,70% compare to last month – September 2012 
  • During month of October 2012, Foreign visitor Arriving at Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali, had increased by 3,29% compare to same month last year,  from 244,4 thousand to 252,7 thousand arrivals. In contradict  a decrease of 1,17% compare to last month, September 2012
  • By cumulative (January-October) 2012, total Foreign visitor had reached 6,58 million, a 5,00% increase compared with the same period last year (6,27 million visitor).
  • Room Occupancy  achievement at  star rating hotels  (based on 20 province) for October 2012 on an average rate of 54,90%, a slight increase of 0,03 point compare to the same period on October 2011 as recorded at 54,87%. Compare to previous month - September 2012 , the average occupancy rate had increase by  1,94 point.
  •  Average guest length of stay, based on 20 province for October 2012 was recorded as 1,94 day, a decrease of 0,07 day compare to same month 2011.

Investments in Indonesian tourism doubles

Minister for Tourism and the Creative Economy, Mari Pangestu, speaking at the Indonesia Tourism Investment Day forum said;

By the end of September 2012, Foreign investments in the tourism sector in Indonesia has doubled compared to the same period in 2011,reaching $7.29 billion. At the same peiod of 2011, a sum of $2.5 billion was invested in tourism. 

 

 

Domestic Tourism Investments also rose significantly from $7.3 billion in 2011 to $60 billion until September2012.

 

 

The Indonesian National Tourism Master Plan identified 88 strategic destination clusters and 88 major destinations, of which 16 will be given priority development in the coming three to five years
